The American Center For South Yemen Studies is a nonprofit research organization committed to deepening understanding of South Yemen’s political, security, social, and cultural dynamics and their implications for US policy in Yemen, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and the broader Middle East. Our mission is to cultivate a comprehensive understanding of South Yemen by providing expert analysis, fostering thoughtful debate, and offering well-informed policy recommendations.

In addition to our research focus, we strive to empower the South Yemeni American community by facilitating their involvement in local communities and connecting them with their cultural heritage. Through educational resources, community programs, and cultural exchanges, we aim to bridge cultural gaps, enhance community cohesion, and inspire a deeper connection to South Yemeni traditions and a vibrant engagement with the broader American society.
